Toilet cleaning is the most looked down upon chore or work. Lots of us have a maid or help to do it for us. But you won’t believe the important philosophy of toilet cleaning. Ever since I started to clean my toilet at fifteen I have learned lots of lessons about life. And though you are scrunching your face now, I am grinning like a mad with the excitement to share my lessons with you guys. So jump out of your loop of disgust and listen to what I got to say.
The first lesson toilet cleaning teaches us is shit happens. You can never stop shitting and likewise there is no life without problems. But you can clean up after it just like you can solve any problems. Yeah shit stinks and you can spread fragrance by cleaning after it. It may not be possible to remove all the strains in the toilet just by cleaning once. You
have to do it again and again. And that is keep trying no matter if the problems couldn’t be solved at once. The means of your toilet cleaning have the audacity to say about your strength to solve your problem. And if you have a maid, then you are not strong to clean after your shit. If you do it by yourself, you have a bright future ahead. If you are a maid or a janitor, be proud. You guys are cleaning after other people’s shit and you are strong for every one of them.
Toilet cleaning also teaches us about the choices we make. We all want the best for us, m
ay it be in life or toilet cleaning. We want the best scrub, best disinfectant with a good fragrance, etc. But the best for us varies by our capacity to afford. And even though we chose only the trusted brands the best fragrance is not guaranteed. But your toilet will be clean. Likewise even if our choice does not gives us happiness they do clean our life at least by preventing us from buying the brand in the future. Some can afford to throw the b
ad brand away, some have to stick with it until it gets over. But either way you get to move on at the last. Bad choices doesn’t stay forever or in some cases it may not be a bad choice you might even be comfortable once you got used to it.
Then it’s the accomplishment you feel as you see your toilet shine literally. No one can deny the proud feeling or the huge smile in my case after you are done with the cleaning. That’s life. There is always ease after hardship. The soon you clean up your problems the less life stinks. And the more you put your problems off the more it stinks. But however your life may stink, if you take the deep breath and put your hands to clean it the fragranc
e spreads. Success is the only outcome of toilet cleaning just like happiness being the result of life if you are ready to scrunch up your nose for few minutes.
The next lesson would be humbleness. You realize you are not too good to do anything. Cockiness and pride leads us now where in life. So when you put your pride down and do the cleaning, you will feel like you can do anything after all you have accomplished the lowest job itself. What more can strike you? When you realize you are not too good for anything, nothing is too good for you too. And life is in your hands.
So instead of wondering how mind could work like this go pick up your scrub and start cleaning your own toilet. Let the fun begin.
